WANDERING IN THE WILDERNESS

I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men,
a youth who lacked judgment.
Proverbs 7:7 NIV

Wandering: Not keeping a rational or sensible course. -Webster's Dictionary
Have we all lost our sense of direction?
"Gang recruitment is a powerful lure for the products of broken homes and single-parent households as
gang members are likely to receive little guidance or attention from family members at home."
(Chicago Crime Commission Report)

It has to become obvious to us that we control the current of our families based on what we do at home.
Solomon says that he looked out of the window of his house...
"And beheld among the simple ones,
I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding."
Proverbs 7:7

What he saw does not amaze me as much as what he did about it.
He looked out of the window of
his house and did NOTHING.
It does not matter how much wisdom you possess if you do not use it to challenge those who are nearest to you.

Conversely, it's unlikely that you will confront the dis-function of your own household if you're in any way squeamish about what you see in your local community.
We have to first SEE inside of our own homes.
When Moses discerned the needs of his own house (the children of Israel) he told them ...
"...These words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children..."
Deuteronomy 6:6,7

When we TURN our hearts back to meditating on God's Word and prayer AT HOME then we'll stop
"wandering in the wilderness" and the paths of those closest to us will be enlightened.

In conclusion, it's quite possible that a lack of devotion to the Word of God & prayer may have you "wandering" in some areas. The business of life may sometimes leave you paralyzed or inactive when "The GOD In YOU" wants to act.

Today, commune with JESUS and let Him be your guiding cloud by day and the pillar of fire that illuminates your night. And when you are converted, go strengthen your brethren!  No longer will we just
"look out the window of our house" while our brothers are
