Tattoo

I've been wanting to get a few tattoos for a long time, but I haven't done it for a variety of reasons.  I've spent a lot of time trying to convince  my Husband to get his 1st tattoo with me, but it just hasn't happened (It will though).  This past weekend some good friends of mines decided to have a ladies night at the tattoo shop, and it was sooooo much fun.

I was a little nervous because I got my last tattoo about 16 years ago, so I was scared of the pain, but I pushed through it with the help of my girls.  My tattoo is the 1st one below.  I wanted to get this Arthur Ashe quote because it empowers me, its my mojo, and I wanted it to be somewhere I can see it as a constant reminder.  I have anxiety issues, and at times very overwhelmed so having this reminder is a huge help for me.  In addition I got a semicolon butterfly.  The butterfly represents transformation, freedom, grace, and growth, and the semicolon represents Project Semicolon born from a 2013 social media movement.  The movement is dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who struggle with depression, suicide, addiction and self-injury.  It encourages love, and inspiration.  The actual semicolon symbol is used when a writer could've chosen to end their sentence, but chose not to.  The writer is you and the sentence is your life; chose not to end it...Today people all over the world are tattooing this mark as a reminder of their struggles, victories and survival, and I want to do just that.  Getting this tattoo is absolutely the best tattoo for me, because I know that God has so much in store for my present and future.

After having a WONDERFUL weekend with family,  I am now at home trying to get myself back together.  I'm not really feeling to well because I still have the effects of Benedryl in my body (Cat allergy) so I need to  laugh.  Enjoy, I sooooo can not wait till they come out with this movie!

Well I'll have a lot to pull together for the next couple of weeks!  I'm busy preparing for a Vintage Clothing & Accessories show in Grayslake, IL as well as a Bridal Expo, and I not only have new Jewelry to create, but I have to complete new hair pieces to be modeled by Ms. Deveraux of course, and scarves to make! 

However, today, I'm taking a break and going to the Doctor with a good friend of mines.  She's pregnant with twins, making her a mommy of 5 and I just want to support her in any way I can!  Then we're going out for lunch, and after that I'll go wherever the Lord takes me. 

So, because of this I needed to post my blogs and fb statuses ahead of time so that I can give her and the twins, my full attention!

LOL, slowly but surely I'm getting art shows, and festival dates finalized.  I'm slowing down with the booking of Home Parties, only because it looks like my getting a car is not in the cards right now, but if the wonderful CTA can get me to Hostesses house then I am there!  Today, I'm not only doing trend research (Pink is going to be big next season), but I'm also doing history research, (Jewelry had a religious and magical significance in the Egyptian ancient world by protecting the wearer from evil.),

preparing for the last day of my Valentine's Day open house (Moscato lots of Mosacato),

 preparing to take my son to go see Gnomeo and Juliet, and a wonderful date night with my Husband.

Pull It Together Tuesday!

I'm feeling a bit confident today.  I'm feeling like my husband and I are on the path of being on the same page.  I only have one more large project of emailing all my contacts for information on booking this years Art & Craft shows and festivals, so therefore that will free up my time to read more, play more, and take my son on field trips.  All though at least that last part of taking my son on field trips definetly won't happen with all this snow we have coming this week.

So I'm feeling good like my theme song this year by Nina Simone.  Now if I can only get a few more Jewelry parties booked, I'll be A-Ok for this Pull it Together Tuesday!

Fine Jewelry Friday! (Ladies Night)

I'm so excited and frustrated!  Tomorrow, I will be volunteering my apartment, and my event planning expertise to a friend of mines. who is throwing a Durex® Girl Talk™ House Party™: Valentine's Day Ed.  This is supposed to be a small intimate get together of a few girl friends, that we feel comfortable talking about intimate details around.  We took this opportunity and named it LADIES NIGHT.  I'm also taking this opportunity  to sale my Jewelry (Forever the hustler, lol)  With planning an event you always have the worries, Will it be enough food?  Will it be enough drinks?  Will there be enough chairs?  How many people are coming?  How many people are bringing guest that don't have any intentions on buying stuff, and they just want to eat up all the food and drink all the drinks?  I know I know, but I had to be honest.  I'll be so glad when this is all over, and I will be posting pictures, but in the mean time Enjoy the new Jewelry I've posted here, ready to be purchased now!

Diva!!!!!



I am getting so excited about having more time on my hands! I’ve got so many ideas, and so many wonderful opportunities, personal and business related have already, and will continue to come my way. Just the anticipation is feeling me with so much joy!

I’m coming off of a horrific work week last week, followed by break down search for size ll Diva quality shoes in my preparation for the Divas ball, etc., and because of my busy week absolutely missed an entire week of blog postings. I've missed you Gods and Goddesses, and want you to know that you were always on my mind.

So now that those things have been pulled together they are being followed by the frenzy of preparing Thanksgiving dinner, Sneak peeks, Black Friday sales, Cyber Monday Sales, and MORE SHOPPING! Oh yeah, getting my Holiday cards done, buying Birthday gifts for all of my beloved family members that were born SO CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS.

Haaa, the joys of the Holidays! Does anyone else need a vacation? What are your holiday plans!

It's Music Monday!

We made it to another week Gods & Goddesses!  I don't know about you, but all I want is a weekend of doing absolutely NOTHING!  I just want to watch old movies I enjoy, Lifetime movies, romantic comedies, and dance movies.  Have you ever left the movie theatre after watching a dance movie, and you had the urge to go out dancing.   Well this is one of my favories.  Hope it gets you going!
